Regional Account Manager

Remote – Northeast USA

Essential Job Functions

  • Meet with and/or call prospective customers as well as existing customers.
  • Using a consultative sales approach, customer meetings, formal presentations, and collaborative sales initiatives to develop a comprehensive solution for the customer. Present the solution in a formal Scope of Work document and generate a quote.
  • Ensures products are specified to maintain and increase revenue by prioritizing the opportunities on an account-by-account basis to obtain optimum sales results.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of products, applications, features, advantages and benefits.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to promote growth within territory
  • Obtain monthly sales goals
  • Attend trade shows and other customer events in assigned territories
  • Work with other groups within the organization to ensure that all the resources of the company are being used to develop the RAM territory. This includes Marketing, Tech Support, Product Management and others that can help develop the RAM territory
  • Ensure that all customer information is entered in CMS in an accurate, timely manner. Maintain the CRM sales funnel
  • Other duties as assigned

Education / Skills:

  • College degree or equivalent education and work experience
  • 5+ years of sales experience required
  • B2B Sales experience required
  • Proven Customer Retention and Sales Growth
  • Experience managing a geographic territory.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to build relationships with key prospects and senior level personal
  • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and be self-motivated
  • Work well with other members of the sales team and other groups within the company
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft windows, QuickBooks, Excel, and Word is essential
  • Physically capable of setting up and tearing down trade show booths
  • Valid Driver’s license and a good driving record is required
  • Must have the ability to travel at least 20% to 40% of the time
  • Law Enforcement experience is a plus
